Are we still under western and colonial influence?, asks Arun Pudur, President, Celframe
Kuala Lumpur, June 22,2007
"Are we still under western and colonial influence?", asks Billionaire Arun Pudur, President of Celframe.
He made this comment in a recent marketing meet with Celframe's Distribution partner's meet held in the company HQ at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Later when questioned why he said this way, Billionaire Arun Pudur said " We note that still several distributors, retail and OEM companies are relunctant to support Asian products, even though it is universal fact that all the world's leading software companies have their core development done in Asia".
He added "If we have to fight piracy we will have to provide qualitative lower priced products to the Asian markets and not try to sell the "US Dollar or UK Pounds" priced product. Hundred pounds maybe cheap for a british customer, but for an Asian customer it maybe his one month salary. So, if we have to fight piracy we need to end this colonial & western influence".
Finally he said "When western companies are selling products in their countries as well as regions why shouldn't we sell our products in our regions and i am surprised that most of the oem and distributor networks are resisting the change as they're afraid of the backslash by the western software giants. But, i sincerely hope that atleast in some regions the Governments are welcoming local products and i personally feel that soon the customers will start demanding local products and help end this influence".
